After launching customers into a frenzy with its original Chicken Sandwich, Popeyes is once again looking to take the fast food world by storm with its new Blackened Chicken Sandwich.
Unlike the original Popeyes Chicken Sandwich, the new Blackened Chicken Sandwich is completely breading-free. Instead, the new sandwich starts with a "new juicy filet" that has been marinated in blackened seasoning. The chicken is then fried without breading, paired with pickles and mayo, and served on a toasted brioche bun. There's also a spicy version of the Blackened Chicken Sandwich that comes with spicy mayo instead of regular mayo.
